1. Who we are
This policy covers the iFieldCam mobile app (Android, and iOS when available), the Web Monitor at monitor.ifield.io and the website ifield.io (together, "iFieldCam"). iFieldCam is currently operated by its founder, Alex Brodsky, as an individual (iField is not yet a registered company; this policy will be updated when it is), based in Israel ("we", "us"). Privacy contact: admin@ifield.io.
2. Your video and images
- AI detection runs on the camera phone. Video is analysed on the device; it is not sent to us for detection.
- Recordings are saved on the camera phone and, if you connect it, uploaded to your own Google Drive. We do not store your videos on our servers. You can delete them in Google Drive at any time.
- Live view is streamed over an encrypted connection through our video provider Twilio. We do not record live video.
- Camera preview images (the picture on each camera card) are sent from the camera to your paired Monitors through our messaging server, which relays them without storing them.
3. Data we store
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Account: email address, name and profile picture (when you sign in with Google), a securely hashed password (email sign-up), your plan and subscription status | Sign-in, keeping your cameras with your account, Premium |
| Cameras: camera ID, the name you give it, which accounts and Monitors it is paired with, its status (online, armed, battery level) | Showing and controlling your cameras |
| Monitor devices: push-notification token, app name and version, device type, language and time zone, your email | Delivering alerts to the right phones in the right language |
| Purchases: store or PayPal subscription identifiers and status. We never receive card numbers. | Verifying Premium |
| Contact form: name, email and message | Answering you |
| Server logs: IP address, time, requested page and browser type of website and API requests | Security and troubleshooting; kept up to 30 days |
The list of detection events (date, time, camera) shown under Records is kept on your Monitor phone.
4. Service providers
We use these providers, each under its own privacy terms:
- Google – cloud hosting (Google Cloud, United States), Firebase Cloud Messaging (alerts), Google Sign-In, Google Drive (your recordings, in your account), Google Play billing, reCAPTCHA (contact form) and AdMob (ads, see below).
- Twilio – live video streaming.
- PayPal and Stripe – payments on the web.
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
5. Ads
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and similar data to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU/UK), the app asks for your consent first, and you can choose non-personalized ads; on iOS the app asks for tracking permission. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Premium removes ads.
6. Permissions the app asks for
- Camera – to work as a security camera, and to scan pairing QR codes.
- Microphone – for sound in recordings and live view, and for 2-way talk.
- Notifications – to show detection alerts.
- Storage (older Android versions only) – to save recordings on the camera phone.
7. How long we keep data
Account, camera and device data are kept while your account is active. Server logs are kept up to 30 days. Encrypted database backups are kept up to 35 days. When you delete your account, its data is removed within 30 days and disappears from backups within a further 35 days.
8. Your rights and account deletion
You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, or object to its use, by emailing admin@ifield.io. To delete your account, use Profile → Delete account in the app or the account deletion page. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR) you may also complain to your data-protection authority.
9. Security
All connections between the app, the website and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is limited and protected with strong authentication, and data is backed up regularly. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your phone's screen lock enabled – iFieldCam also uses it to protect leaving Camera mode.
10. Children
iFieldCam is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Your responsibility when recording
You decide where your cameras record. Please follow local laws on video and audio recording and the privacy of others – see our Terms of Use.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version; for significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email.
